Effect of different artificial sweeteners on protein glycation

چکیده
Glycation refers to the non-enzymatic molecular interaction between carbonyl group of sugars and amino groups macromolecules viz. proteins, DNA, lipids leading generation Schiff’s base, Amadori products, finally converted deleterious advanced glycation end-products (AGEs). Several diseases such as neurodegenerative or mental disorders, cardiovascular complications, well diabetes, its related complications show glycated product involvement. Hyperglycemia diabetes are main in which AGEs formation accumulation enhanced cause secondary complications. This study was performed investigate antiglycation anti-aggregation potential Food Drug Administration-approved artificial sweeteners. The vitro system (BSA glucose) incubated along with sweeteners viz acesulfame potassium, saccharin sodium, sucralose, aspartame, neotame for 35 days at 37 °C. conventional analytical methods browning, NBT assay, DNPH assessment fluorescent were carried out spectroscopically check amount products. presence mentioned showed inhibition content, total generation, aggregation β-amyloid structures. On day 35, potassium reduced content by 62.63 ± 0.91%, 49.39 0.82%, observed Thioflavin-T assay 43.45 1.14%. tested exhibited activity protein, BSA. They may be used a therapeutic agent management

In vitro study on glycation of plasma proteins with artificial sweeteners
Glycation is a non-enzymatic reaction between the carbonyl groups of sugars and the amino groups of proteins, nucleic acids and lipids. This process results in the formation of early glycation products, which rearrange to form more stable advanced glycation end products (AGEs). Glycation has been linked to a number of diseases such as, Alzheimer’s, diabetes mellitus, cataract, Parkinson’s, phys...

15 صفحه اولArtificial sweeteners produce the counterintuitive effect of inducing metabolic derangements.
The negative impact of consuming sugar-sweetened beverages on weight and other health outcomes has been increasingly recognized; therefore, many people have turned to high-intensity sweeteners like aspartame, sucralose, and saccharin as a way to reduce the risk of these consequences. However, accumulating evidence suggests that frequent consumers of these sugar substitutes may also be at increa...
